Kyle & Co: A Family portrait in Kent

Travelled down to Kent today to photograph Kyle and his family in a beautiful park. This is the first family with kids I've attempted to shoot and there were many challenges. Kids get bored quickly. Kids have loads of energy and move quickly. So the group shots were a disaster in the sense that a composed Royal family kind of portrait was impossible unless we tranquilised the kids. So it was a case of allowing the kids to run free and capture the energy. The few still moments I managed to capture came through poignantly and hardly suggests the contained energy of childhood! Fast shutter speeds and higher than usual iso settings helped to freeze the moments. An enjoyable day though!
