This was a last minute shoot which I was pleased to do as it was at the Gatehouse in Highgate. Life can be a series of reinventions and by allowing the creative energy to unfold in ones life one can find paths of reinvention converging. So formerly a pub manager in Highgate I arrived on the 214 with my tripod and backpack of cameras - the photogapher - to shoot The Bald Prima Donna upstairs at the Gatehouse Theatre. It was a great location to shoot in. I prowled around the stage in a full 360 degrees and got great shots from all these different angles. The play itself was rather interesting and filled with absurd dialogue conveying the awkwardness of a class of British people unable to express or communicate with ease, pretending rather, to go along with what is perceived to be socially acceptable. The acting and ensemble work between the cast was superb and it was thrilling trying to capture the repressed emotional tension that was being converyed through subtle masterful gestures.
