The first photo of this series just stopped both Fraser and I mid-breath. We both loved the sculpting of light and shadow around his face. A Capaldi moment we both agreed. Definitey a future Dr Who I suggested. It's been fantastic experimenting with the new addition to the studio - a roll-down blackscreen. Also a neutral density filter has paid off as I can now stop-down to F1.8 and get those lovely shallow DOP's even with three studio lights blasting away. I've included the very first shot of the session: Fraser sat looking very disgruntled. I love how everyone transforms from shy, inhibited, at times awkward to suddenly seeing the film star potential in themselves as the session draws to a close.
